Senior CMMI Process Engineer          Submit Your Resume

The Senior CMMI Process Engineer will be responsible for the evaluation and development of CMMI processes, providing process briefings to key management and technical personnel, performing organizational CMMI Gap analysis, and facilitating the institutionalization of CMMI processes in support of CMMI Level 2 thru Level 5 assessments. The Senior CMMI Process Engineer will also be responsible for working with a variety of military and commercial programs in their effort to achieve certification. These programs will vary in size and complexity and a background in the area of acquisition, or system and software engineering is essential. Additional responsibilities will include: creating and managing to a CMMI implementation plan; providing feedback on account or project level documentation for compliance; reviewing and auditing projects against defined processes; and participating in SCAMPI appraisals.

The CMMI Process Engineer will support the evaluation and development of CMMI processes for military and commercial programs in their efforts to achieve CMMI certification. These programs will vary in size and complexity and a background in the area of Defense Acquisition and system/software engineering processes is essential.

The CMMI Process Engineer will: perform project CMMI Gap analysis, assisting the customer in the development of engineering processes to meet CMMI Level 2 & Level 3 process area requirements, provide CMMI process area briefings, gathering and evaluating process area artifacts and assist the client with maintaining, implementing and institutionalizing engineering processes in support of SEI CMMI Level 2 and Level 3 certification and recertification.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
This position is for a seasoned logistician and demands experience and expertise supporting Department of Defense (DoD) systems acquisitions. The individual will be expected to plan, schedule and implement lifecycle support considerations for a new system to ensure design requirements can be cost effectively supported and are in compliance federal laws, DoD regulations and MIL-Standards.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Position Location:  Charleston, SC

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree plus individual shall possess a Professional certification - i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics - Level 1 OR have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training) OR possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.

Minimum Experience:
Six (6) years experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 8 years if not DAWIA Level 1 certified) of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes. Of the required 6 years, individual shall have four (4) years support of C4ISR systems. Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines.

Skill Preferences:
Microsoft office suite applications, database management, configuration management, supply management, must utilize Gov't directed applications such as SPAWAR CnE, Navy configuration databases such as CMPro and CDMD or Sharepoint.

Of the required 10 years, individual shall have six (6) years support of C4ISR systems. Demonstrated management skills, to include: Analyzing Contracts, Analyzing System Design Specifications, Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines. Experience supervising Logistics Specialists
